Let Them. — If you constantly feel behind, overwhelmed, or like your to-do list is running your life, you’re not alone. Here’s the good news: today, you’re going to get your life back on track – and it’s easier than you think. You’re missing a simple system to handle the endless “life admin” that piles up every week. Things like: -scheduling appointments -answering emails -organizing paperwork -managing finances -planning your week -and dealing with all the little tasks (aka “life admin) that quietly drain your time and energy. In this solo episode, Mel will show you how dedicating one single day to handle your life admin can completely change how your life feels. Mel calls it Life Admin Day, and once you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. In this episode, you’ll learn: -Why you constantly feel behind, even when you’re working hard -The hidden reason small tasks pile up and drain your energy -How one simple framework can help you get your time back -Why handling life admin during the week gives you your weekends back -How to organize your tasks so you stop feeling scattered and actually get things done -The exact way to structure your Life Admin Day so it actually works (this 5-part framework is based in cognitive research) -Why this one change can help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control After listening to this episode, you’ll have a practical plan you can try immediately. Pro Tip: as you are cleaning out your inbox, copy the senders address that you are deleting, paste it in the search bar and delete every time they have emailed you in the past. Using bulk deletion helps to clear out the clutter very quickly.

I’ve been calling it Maintenance Monday. The washing machine starts the day, so I can fold laundry while on the phone. I love your enthusiasm for this.

Thank you Mel! I was so convicted with this episode. Especially when you said “Amazon returns that past the turn date” 😂 but today I finally made a credit card payment that I’ve been needing to make, paid my HOA fees and did my Taxes for last 2 years! 😅🙌🏽🥰

9-11 on a Monday is a terrible time to make calls. Busiest day of the week for most businesses. You'll get more calls done and be on hold less if you call on Tuesday! 😊

I cannot express just how much I needed to see this. I work 3rd shift in a very busy ER. I have a (round-trip) 2 hour commute. A few years ago I became the caregiver to my aging mother who has several chronic illnesses. I handle all of her medical stuff, Dr appts, medications, etc. And last year, I took over all of her finances. I sleep most of the day because I work all night and I am so busy taking care of all of the big things that all of the little things have piled up on my kitchen counter. I look at it every single day and I cannot tell you how stressful it is. I am definitely going to take this advice and do an admin day for myself. I'm even going to take it a step further and I am going to take a PTO day to do it!!!! Thank you for posting this. God's timing is always right on time ❤

I laughed out loud when you said “no decluttering” because that’s exactly what I do whenever I have a free block of time 😂

Wow, this video couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been feeling completely burnt out just thinking about these tasks every day!
