Two different definitions of "Struggle Meal" are butting heads in this video from the start. Some people sent in their financial struggle meals, others sent in their emotional struggle meals. They are both valid. They are not the same. Most importantly, they are not interchangeable.
This episode went from struggle meals for breakfast to recipes that were made up by people, who were either drunk or high, for dinner.
Scraping the food off the counter and putting it back into the pan is what solidified the struggle meal
my struggle meal is looking in the pantry for 3 days straight knowing that its not going to get any fuller
a struggle nap is where you're hungry and have a headache, but you don't have food or painkillers so you try to sleep it off.
Struggle meals hit different when you're actually struggling, it's like a eating a michelin star meal that has blessed your miserable, treacherous life
I love the cooking but the part i really resonate with is Josh dropping diabolical tidbits from his traumatic childhood like they are normal while everyone else just stares in shock lol. I feel seen.😂
My favorite thing about watching josh cook, is that while knowing he is an actual good cook, he still cooks like he's living in a frat house and uses whatever he can reach for first. And that's an inspiration to me, because he doesn't let nothing stop him and he doesnt mind looking a bit silly to prove that you dont need fancy equipment to cook a meal. Also he's funny.
When I first moved out, my mom gifted me a croc pot. First year living on my own the struggle meal 2-3 weeks out of 5 was "whatever large protein I could find in the discount section for the best price, in the croc pot with BBQ sauce, served over rice or mashed potato. Maybe with some frozen veg."
