It has been documented that Karl Urban's performance as Leonard โBonesโ McCoy literally moved Leonard Nimoy to tears. ๐
R.I.P. "CHECKOV" taken too early.
Cassie talking about her journey getting to this point in Star Trek just makes me realize how it's been such a long road getting from there to here.
During the filming, Karl Urban (Bones) brought Leonard Nimoy to tears with his performance. Nimoy had said it was as if DeForest Kelly came back to life.
My grandma was a huge Trekkie and this was the last movie I saw with her in a movie theater before she passed. She loved the part were elderly OG Spock was dispensing wise and sage advice to new, younger Spock. I remember seeing her nod and smile during that part. ๐
Her excitement at the revelation of each crew member was fun to watch.
"Section 613.92!" is the most Star Trek you've ever sounded. Way to go!
I miss Leonard Nimoy hearing him say that last โThese are the voyages of the USS Enterpriseโ brought me to tears.
R.I.P. DeForest Kelley (Bones) 1999 James Doohan (Scotty) 2005 Leonard Nemoy (Spock) 2015 Anton Yelchin (JJ ABRAMS' Chekov) 2016 Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) 2022 The original Star Trek cast still alive are William Shatner (Kirk), George Takei (Sulu), and Walter Koenig (Chekov).
I love the intensity that Zachary Quinto brings to Spock is amazing - a great combo of cold logic and a scary, deep emotional capacity. Spock must have been a daunting task for any actor because he's so iconic and beloved. Zachary is a brilliant actor!
