Cassie was clearly hoping for 50 Shades of Earl Grey.
That scene between Data and Worf in the ready room is easily one of my favourites; it shows the growth of both characters so well. Data, far from the emotionless or socially clueless machine, speaks to Worf in a calm and professional tone about business first, and their personal relationship second. Worf in particular though, not only does he make reasonable defences for his actions, but when Data explains the issue, Worf responds with composed dignity, respect, and humility. Perhaps the most impressive feat you'll ever see from a Klingon.
Today (September 8th) is Star Trek's 58th birthday. So Happy Star Trek Day. 🎂🖖🥰
Data taking Riker to the brig is the perfect ending for Gambit.
The conversation between Worf and Data is still one of my favorite bits of writing in any series. It relies on intimate knowledge of both characters and strengthens both. Even though Worf was obviously wrong, he acknowledges it and repents. Both men put duty before personal feelings yet both also cherish their friendship so much they make sure to express their relief. No childish outbursts, no hyperactive ego and no breaking of military discipline. It is exemplary writing and very well acted by two men portraying very complex characters.
The Vulcan/Romulan lady is the Lt Saavik actress from movies III & IV who replaced Kirstie.
43:50 Beverly "I didn't know you felt that way." Cassie "I've known for 7 seasons!" 🤣🤣🤣 ❤❤❤
The tall Klingon was played by NBA Hall of Fame player James Worthy who is 6’9”.
And Picard breaks his own Federation Record of most times kidnapped by another species. 🥇
T'Pol and Admiral Chakotay? How has this never clicked in my head before tonight?
