All us old people when you said “How is Eddie Murphy so famous “ 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Beverly Hills Cop was the highest grossing film of 1984, and capped off a record-breaking year for Hollywood that also saw the release of hits such as Ghostbusters, Romancing the Stone, The Terminator, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Gremlins, The Karate Kid, Splash, Footloose, Amadeus, A Nightmare on Elm Street, A Soldier's Story, Tightrope, This Is Spinal Tap, Police Academy, Sixteen Candles, Purple Rain, and Starman.
Eddie Murphy was only 23 when this came out. He has/had the confidence, charisma, humor, and improvisationaal skills of someone who had been in the business for 40+ years. What an insane talent.
The actor playing Taggert is john ashton who passed away last yr. He plays a great character in another movie you have to do, "MIDNIGHT RUN" with Robert Deniro and Charles Grodin. So fun and a great movie
Serge was played by Bronson Pinchot, and this film got him cast in the sitcom Perfect Strangers.
My gosh. I so miss the 80s. We had the best movies and soundtracks.
You can see how this inspired the Rush Hour movies with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, and basically every cop buddy movie that came after it.
"That is Neil from the Santa Claus"... - BAAHAA The rest of us were probably thinking it's Brad Hamilton form Ridgemont High.
The Beverly Hills Lt. Is Captain Jellico from TNG, OMG!
iconic movie with an iconic instrumental song
