This movie teaches the importance of always backing up your Data

This movie is important to me. My cousin was 21 years old, pregnant with her first child (all she ever wanted to be was a mother), married for one year, about to give birth...and then she suffered a brain aneurysm in the middle of the night on November 17th, 2002 and went into a coma. They did a C-section to get the baby, who is alive and well, but she never woke up to see him. It was the deepest pain of my life; grief so intense it physically hurt. Nemesis released two days after what would have been her 22nd birthday (today, December 7th, would have been her 42nd), so the end with Data finally gave me an outlet to put my grief and so this movie holds a special place in my heart, regardless of what anyone says.

When Worf says, "The Romulans fought with honor", that is absolutely a huge complement coming from him. Klingons and Romulans have hated each other forever, and Worf specifically hates them for killing his family when he was a child.

I always had a feeling that Cassie would like Nemesis if only because it opens with Riker and Trois wedding.

Brent Spiner, who plays Data, co-wrote this screenplay. He consented to this being the swan song for his character, which was the only thing that made it bearable for me at the time. He created Data and gave him his soul, I think he had a right to give hime a hero's ending.

The running joke is that Troi was at the helm when both the Enterprise D and E crashed.

Remember that Worfs family were murdered at Kihtomer by Romulans. So for Worf to praise their honor (a BIG thing to him) is an EXTREMELY high compliment from him.

Among my favorite moments in this movie is the one in which Picard sends a silent text message to Troi as she sits at the helm, directing her to lay in a collision course with Shinzon's ship. When he whispers "Engage", I love the look of sad resolve on her face as she realizes what carnage she's about to cause. Also, her shocked look when the Scimitar explodes with Data aboard, and the way she bursts into tears later when they're toasting Data's sacrifice -- while the others struggle to remain stoic, she gets to mirror our own inner feelings and shed tears for all of them and us.
