A 12 year old saying those kinds of words is disgusting.
"What's making them like this?" Lack of parenting. Lack of accountability. KEEP IT UP OP
First story: the 12 year old girl who called OP a slur should be grateful with how OP dealt with her. Other people would be less than charitable with their response, to put it mildly, and she may not even live to see her next birthday. OP is NTA.
Fifth Story, NTA: OP's brother claims his daughter gets 3 large portions a day but why is she complaining about now eating enough? OP's brother sucks and is a terrible parent. Also, his mindset for his daughter could cause her to develope an eating disorder
First Story, NTA: This kid ain’t getting raised right. She throws a tantrum because a random stranger refused to buy her (let's be real, it's exactly this) booze. This girl's parents SHOULD be disappointed and upset but if they aren’t then they failed as parents
Story 5: I had a similar scenario in my family. My older siblings ate everything right away as teens, and I was brushed off for being small and "inactive". Everyone wonders now why I have such bad food defensiveness. Why I struggle with family style meals. The OP is taking steps to stop the defensiveness.
1:42 this little twerp should consider herself lucky, most adults who get called slurs would throw her like that baby from Dinosaurs who kept saying "not da momma!"
*3rd Story:* How come nobody's talking about how the parents never bothered to call OP themselves? OP spent a week at a hospital and not once in that time did the parents say or think to themselves "Let's check in on OP." I get the feeling OP isn't as loved by their parents as they think they are.
Last story NTA- when I was a teenage girl my metabolism was working overtime just existing. I didn’t do sports but my appetite was larger than most of my male friends who were athletes. The dad feels like a bad parent who’s starving his daughter because he is!
Story 2: Ya, OP, it has nothing to do with your parent's age. My nana is almost 88 and ALWAYS has her phone charged and with her. She might not always hear it (she IS almost 88, lol), but she checks it about once an hour just to make sure she hasn't missed any important calls or messages. She does this specifically IN CASE THERE'S AN EMERGENCY. Nta.
