Op in story 1 is either Chinese (Mandarin) or Korean based on the info provided. NTA; the people who disagree with OP fail to realize their discrimination is showing.

The English word "kiss" sounds exactly like the Swedish word "kiss". In Swedish, "kiss" means "to pee." (This takes "potty mouth" to a whole new level.)

10 bucks on Korean word for you. Bruh some people think English is the only language. If english is your only language thats completely fine. But coming in that hot when you don't understand is wild

Story 1: yeah, no, Sarah deserves a score. I get being surprised for like a few seconds but it's very clear that OP was speaking a different language. You don't use the "N word" in a DIFFERENT language. This is ridiculous Edit: "negro" is Spanish, not French. We say "noir" in French 😊

Story 3: There was an update. Apparently, OP's family wrote trying to make her feel guilty, and thanks to the support of Reddit, OP decided to write a message in the family's general chat explaining what happened, in which she attached photos of her in the hospital, the bruises, the police report, and apparently the attack was so violent that she lost an eye. She also sent a photo of her without the prosthetic eye. The family had no idea about it and apologized, but still, thank God, she decided to have zero contact with her family.

So similar to the first story, I speak Quebecois French and recently lived in South Korea. In French the way to say "what is it" or "is something wrong" is "qu'est-ce qu'il y a?" but when spoken quickly and with my accent it sounds like a very bad swear word in Korean. I was on the phone with my French father and asked "what is it?" and I got a few strange looks by other older people at the bus stop. They quickly understood when I kept talking in a non-Korean language lol

2:03 That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. That’s a bad HR director if she’s looking to protect the company.

If you use coercion to force your kids to do things they do not want to do, don't be surprised when they stop talking to you.

Story 3: Having seen this story with an update that gives a little more detail about the injuries OP sustained, her parents told the family she'd been in a bad car accident to explain them, they should never have expected maternal instinct to kick in here.
