Stalker Story: This feels like rolling Nat 1s over and over on trying to start a conversation. Instead of like "Hey, I've noticed you run here a few times, do you run down this street often?," it ends up being "WE'RE WATCHING YOU"
First story - They say you shouldn't meet your heroes. In THIS case... you shouldn't meet your secret fans. 😂
Story 1: We had a guy in our neighborhood who would run several times a day so we saw him ALL. THE. TIME. For like 5 years. One day, I noticed I hadn't seen him for a few days. Turns out, I'm not the only person who was observing him, but our mail woman had also. She, too, hadn't seen him for a few days so she got worried, went to his house, and when he didn't answer, she did a well- check on him by calling the police. Turns out he lived alone and had passed away! I then found out all of my neighbors knew of this guy too and we talked about how, even though none of us knew his name, he was a staple in the neighborhood and we'd all actively look forward to seeing him. We said our "I hope he went peacefully" statements and death platitudes and that was that. He'll never know how many people admired his dedication and commitment. I thanked our mail lady and she was like, "yeah, he's like the 3rd person I've done a well-check on who passed away." I'm like, "you're a hero!" Anyways, that's my story.
Guitarist of 9 years and guitar teacher of 7. That’s a great gift. For a beginner, maybe overboard, but that’s so thoughtful.
Story 1 is actually so relatable 😅 same thing, we called our running dude "Marathon Man" and would always wave and smile (he always waved and smiled back)
Story 2: Maaaan this story hurts :/ Op worked SOOOOOO hard to get her husband a gift she thought he would really enjoy it…and her POS in laws just crap all over her thoughtful gift :/
Blonde jogger dude unknowingly had his own paparazzi group for years. Maybe knowing he has admirers cheering him on gives him a boost to his workout... or could just make him wary of his surroundings now. You go, my guy!
Story 2:Well said,Rslash. Money can't buy manners. You either have them or you don't
We had a "dude" growing up in our neighborhood. He had longer hair (think late 60 Beatles), and the most epic sideburns you've ever seen. (Early 2000's so not common) He bought a house that was mostly glass facing the street. So every time we would pass and see him we'd give a "sup dude" to ourselves. As years went on we watched from afar as he went from bachelor, to married, and eventually kids! Any time we would see them we'd go "sup dudes!" My mom finally met him after like 9 years of this randomly. He was a film guy for the university and was working in conjunction with my mom for a promo. Said he was the nicest guy! And she gave him a "sup dude" after a few days with him being none the wiser
"Wish ya weren't so awkward bud" Ah, a man of culture. The OP does sound like Dairy from Letterkenny XD
