For those looking 1:20:28 Sacha Baron Cohen controversy.
I loved this interview. They said she would destroy her career if she lost weight and now she has been in 2 films and directed one. Rebel will always succeed because of her goal driven mind set. She will pivot. If one door closes, she'll find a window. An amazing asset to have.
I was taught by Rebel’s mum in kindergarten ‘94. She really was the most kind, empathetic and joyful person. You would have never known she was going through so much. 🥺 I am a teacher myself now and can safely say it is incredibly hard to come to work with baggage and put on a happy face for the kids every day.

It should be known for international audiences that the uni where Rebel did her law degree is widely considered Australia’s most prestigious university. She is one seriously intelligent and accomplished woman in so many ways.
She is clearly a highly gifted person - first play gets snapped up, snapped up by law school, decides to become an actress against the odds and becomes one of the most famous stars out there. Yet with all that has lacked confidence. She is very human, very astute, very thoughtful. I have always love Rebel Wilson. And I am proud of her for speaking out about her experience and for naming him too. And, for children who haven't had the perfect childhood but in fact experience a challenging childhood, she is a great inspiration. But her parents did a great deal for her in getting her through private school in difficult circumstances. You can detect that she loves them.
The thumbnail about Sasha Baron Cohen takes so much away from this beautiful and sensitive interview. Steven, change that strategy. Really enjoyed getting to know this brilliant, real and wise person. Great interview Steven.
As an Australian, I can relate to the family dynamics Rebel describes and how it shaped her view of the world. He ambition and dedication to her craft is admirable, as is her remarkable ability to be down to earth, funny and raw, while discussing serious topics many of us can relate to. I wish Rebel future success and happiness with her gorgeous family!
I can relate. As a male, when I go thinner, people treat you differently thaw when you are heavy. I have gone back and forth. The difference is HUGE
Steven Bartlett's Interviews continue to blow me away. He seems to have some sort of "Magical Knack" of making his Guests feel safe enough to reveal incredibly intimate & vulnerable insights about themselves. I just watched Simon Cowell's Interview & felt the same. I felt like I was listening thru a Keyhole someone's Therapy Session. Powerful & very real.
