My stomach turned when Gloria Satterfield's son arrived. How low do you have to be to take advantage of a young person like that? Just awful.

I cannot imagine being in that jury WITHOUT a pen & notepad. I also don’t understand that rule. If they are scared the notes will make it out of the court room they could simply have the jury lock their notes up before they’re allowed to leave.

I can’t imagine the sheer stress of living like that. Robbing Peter to pay Paul, stealing from his work to pay himself, ripping off friends and having huge debt. I get stressed about paying a $200 bill late. I also can’t help thinking his “addiction” was a convenient excuse to account for stealing from his work when actually, he was just a shitty person who wanted to live like a king with multiple homes and a boat and house-keepers to cook his meals etc.

All of this financial stuff is just making it more clear to me that the AG should only have prosecuted the financial crimes and they should have got someone more experienced in murder trials to do this trial. It's been an absolute mess!

According to the New Yorker, one of the Satterfield sons, who is cognitively-impaired, and lives on $14,000.00 a year, while waiting for the settlement that Alec was spending, had his trailer home foreclosed on and Alec did nothing to help him.

My son (whose nickname is Poot and he now regrets it) walked in the room just as Ms. Horney took the stand. He said, "Y'all are not right," as I cracked up a long with you. Thanks for a little bit of levity during this difficult trial.

A huge part of me hopes Gloria's death was indeed an accident. I can't imagine the emotional blow of knowing that not only were you exploited for the financial benefit of AM, but that his family was the reason for her death in the first place. My heart goes out to Michael and his brother. (I personally feel like Waters' style is incredibly cathartic. It feels like he's angry at AM and the circumstances, not the witnesses themselves. I'm down with him knocking off the leading questions, though.)

I have no idea how the jury is making heads or tails of anything without taking notes.

Wow I knew he stole from this family but to hear this young man talk about communicating with his deceased mother"s former boss thinking this guy is looking out for them. What a snake.
