The juror who spoke to ABC basically confirmed it: without the kennel video this verdict might not have been reached. In the end, little detective ended up solving his own murder.

Thanks to Mark Tinsley and the victims and family of Paul Murdaugh’s boat crash for standing up to this corrupt family. I wish peace to all of those traumatized by Alex Murdaugh.

For the record Alex lied and stole from children and disabled children and disabled people. I think that the family did not want to give a public statement because they did not want to have it on the internet for eternity. The legal profession needs to do better if you think your lawyer is stealing from you they probably are.

The fact that he didn't call his other son, straight after calling the police and only then only seemed to remember him as an afterthought after calling so many other people, spoke volumes to me.

I'm glad there were no victim impact statements. Every family member and friend who testified already said plenty. The judge had all the info he needed for sentencing. No need to drag it out any longer than this.

The female sheriff standing behind Alex Murdaugh is holding back her emotions during the judge giving his statement to the thief and murderer. Hearing Judge Newman's words and seeing the tears she is struggling to keep in truly hit me in ways I didn't think would hit me today. My heart breaks, because despite someone being held accountable for this tragedy, a family is broken, friends have lost friends, a community has been torn apart, and boy has lost his mother, little brother at the hands of his own father, lost his father as well. This is tragic all around, and I wish everyone is able to find peace and move forward with their lives. My heart breaks for all those affected.

Weird how he always says “hurt” instead of kill or murder. Distancing much!! He did hurt them, he lied to them, he stole from them, he maligned their name and God knows what else to them in addition to killing them in cold blood.
