I worked in a law office for over 35 years. Not only as a legal Assistant / paralegal but I did all the billing accounts receivable accounts payable and trust accts. I don't understand how he could have gotten away with stealing people's money for that long a time without someone else in the law firm being involved. People always call for their money over and over again. There's no way you can convince me that's something else wasn't going on. Especially for that many years.

The huge difference between his testimony and describing his emotions towards the incident is sooo much different than Alex. This is how true honest feelings appear. Alex never said anything close to the emotions described by his brother towards Paul

One of the many things that does it for me is that Barbara Ann Mixon called Alex at 4pm to ask Alex if he could come over bc Ms Libby was agitated bc Randolph was in the hospital and Alex didn’t get there until 9:20 pm, when Ms Libby’s bed time is 8pm. Why didn’t he go immediately after work? Or after dinner? Or instead of riding around Moselle looking at trees with Paul? Alex wasn’t doing anything important at Moselle that evening that would make him wait until an hour and a half after his mom’s bedtime to go visit her, except to manufacture an alibi. It does not make sense to go visit his mom at that time of night, and not go over earlier if she was agitated….also he wants us to believe he left the kennels at the exact right time (though he doesn’t know the exact time) to put him at the main house and inside so he couldn’t hear the gun shots, lays down to sleep for 10 minutes at 8:50 pm before he heads to his mom’s for a 15-20 minute visit and she didn’t even know he was there. Oh yeah although he just saw Maggie at the kennels, he didn’t ask her then if she wanted to come (although it was her only reason for coming to Moselle) and calls and texts her, but doesn’t stop by when she doesn’t respond- as he normally would do. He didn’t know about either of Paul’s snaps - but the tree snap made him go pressure Blanca into changing her memory and the other caused him to have to testify that he did lie to SLED numerous times and everyone he knows about being at the kennels. Not to mention he took Paul and Maggie’s pulses, tried to turn Paul over, picked up Paul’s phone put it back on him, got no blood on him in 17 seconds from arriving at the kennels - he tells both 911 and SLED, he checked their pulses before he called.He never showed any interest in finding whoever did it in any of his interviews. And if it wasn’t him, it was some unknown assailant with some unknown motive that wouldn’t have known Paul and Maggie would be at Moselle nor the kennels but rolled up at the exact right moment to fit the timeline, then put the dogs away and rolled up the hose that was on the ground just to do something nice after murdering- the odds of all of that falling into place have to be astronomically low. Oh yeah and had the Murdaugh guns to commit the murders and left 0 evidence and there has been 0 leads towards anyone else. Either Alex did it or he is the unluckiest man in the universe for all those coincidences to align the night of the murders and if something doesn’t add up? Alex says don’t pay it no mind, he’s just a paranoid drug addict who innocently lies to the police bc you know, drugs, and despite his 2 decades of conning and stealing, we should believe him. He lured them both home that night to murder them. Maggie said she thought Alex was up to something. Paul left us evidence that would implicate his father….justice for Maggie and Paul.

John Marvin’s testimony made me cry. Alex’s did not. I’m not sure this was good for the defense to show the jury what an honest grieving family member looks like.

John Marvin says that Paul was called Paul Paul during fun times and yet Alex sat on the stand calling him that non-stop, during what I’d consider one of the darkest times of my life.

His brother actually makes me think Alex is guilty…because his emotions are so genuine and Alex’s are so odd and stunted. I also absolutely get what he means about feeling the need to clean up the scene. I know this isn’t ANYTHING like what he’s talking about, but I feed the birds and squirrels in my yard. Any time I happen upon a spot where a hawk has clearly killed something, I can’t help but feel the need to gather up the feathers as some sort of tribute to the little bird (not the actual carcass - just feathers). It feels wrong to just leave it and do nothing. I don’t know why.

Looking at the timeline, Maggie phone detected 59 steps and several orientation changes between 8.53.15 and 8.55.32. That’s 2 min 17 sec, and about 30 meters of walking, no? We know from Alex’s testimony that it takes about 1,5 or 2 min for the golf cart to drive up to the house. So my speculation is this. Alex turned off his phone and possibly left it at the house. Committed the murders, at about 8.49, 8.50. Took Maggies phone at about 8.53, walked to the golf cart. Traveled using the golf cart up to the house, which resulted in orientation changes in the phone. Put her phone in the car at about 8.55.30. He then had 11 min 30 sec, until the suburban started at 9.06.50, to clean himself up and pack everything in the car. He had to be quick, which is why his phone recorded a massive amount of steps running around. He didn’t turn on his phone until about 9.02, which is why their phones never traveled together. I don’t see it as impossible for him to have done it this way

I'm normally a very empathetic person, and hearing someone tell a very emotional story makes me cry with them. For some reason, I feel nothing listening to Alex. Listening to John Marvin talk about seeing and cleaning up the scene hit me HARD. One just felt much more genuine than the other.
