For those asking about why Typescript chose Go, it was said in an interview that they wanted the transition to be as seamless as possible, so they needed a garbage collected language (as that's how they built the original compiler) which disqualified rust. That is a massive oversimplification of their decision making process I'm sure, but a pretty good summary
Just made my first go script to help launch our application… it was… kinda nice. Easy to slap on code like python, but statically typed
