A realistic pregnant belly for a child is SOOOOO WEIRD and not appropriate, absolutely wild and I think it’s great that the mom also is concerned about what her child is watching on YouTube
Story 3, I totally get Matt and Amy’s point of view BUT my issue with it is not that she’s pretending to be pregnant or anything about that part of it, it’s more so the idea that another adult bought a realistic belly for a child, and it’s going to make a child look “legitimately” pregnant and that image is something that predators would kill to get their hands on. Even if she doesn’t wear it in public, just the idea that someone else is seeing my child look realistically pregnant is unsettling to me. It’s VERY VERY different than a stuffed animal or pillow under the shirt. Imaginative play is perfectly done using imaginary play items, not something that brings a very realistic element into it.
Story 3: anyone in the youtube commentary corner knows about those weird "kids" channels on YouTube seggsualizing women, pregnancy and so on. And that's why the mother is concerned of the "free YouTube access at grandparent's house" and the encouraging of her kids pregnancy interest.
As a parent to a little girl, I would never discourage learning about babies or being interested in that but I agree with Morgan that a fake pregnant belly is too far. I also agree that whatever the mother wants is what should be followed, regardless if we agree or not but the mother and father should also be the final decision not the grandparents
Being innocently fascinated by pregnancy is normal for kids. However, it is 100% on the adults to enforce healthy, age-appropriate boundaries. The realistic pregnancy belly is absolutely bizarre and makes me question the grandparents’ judgment, even if it was not malicious on their part.
42:57 helllllllllll no matt I’m sorry you are wrong here.. it’s fine that she’s interested about it but the pregnant belly thing goes wayyyyyy too far. It does go into a weird place there.
i'm sorry but for story 3 how on earth can you believe that someone will make fake realistic pregnant bellies for kids,.it is insane and I am not sure why such a product should exist or what sane company would try to sell it.
Guy from the fourth story: I'm the worst Guy from the fifth story: Hold my beer
A realistic pregnant belly for a child is actually insnane
I can just imagine a little girl innocently obsessed with being pregnant could be suseptible to messed up people promising to make her a mother, no way
