So many things in astronomy called "dark" that I mix them up. Dark Stars, Dark Energy, Dark Matter, Dark Chocolate. So confusing.
Amusing to call them 'dark stars' since that was the original name for what we now call 'black holes'.

Ah yes, the Dark Star - Early John Carpenter, and a massive midnight movie hit when I was in college. Brilliant satirical take on what prolonged space travel might do to a crew.
Dark is scientist speak for "We don't have a clue"
Anton I respect you. I love your videos and you’re a legend. Me and my son watch you every night here in Aus! Thanks bro
I'm not holding my breath, tbh. Those things being Dark Stars rests on quite a few assumptions of dark matter properties for which we have effectively zero evidence. The Max Planck Institue (and some other institutes, but I forgot) argue that the "little red dots" might be Quasi stars, aka black hole stars. This hypothesis also rests on a few assumptions, albeit less and less strict. So I personally lean towards that explanation, but only ever so slightly 😅
It's stars, Jim, but not as we know it.
Amazing work as usual, my brother. Folks like you give me faith in humanity.
i may not be dust poor, but i am quite dirt poor
