Order your copy of The Let Them Theory 👉 https://melrob.co/let-them-theory 👈 The #1 Best Selling Book of 2025 🔥 Discover how much power you truly have. It all begins with two simple words. Let Them. — If your thoughts start racing and your anxiety hits at night, try this. When everything gets quiet, your mind can get loud. The stress. The pressure. The things you haven’t figured out yet. In those moments, you don’t need to solve everything. You just need to tell yourself one thing: “I can manage this.” You’ve handled everything that’s come your way so far. You’re capable of handling what’s in front of you now. And research from Dr. Alia Crum from Stanford shows that this simple shift - seeing something as manageable - can actually calm your body and help you feel more in control. On this episode of The Mel Robbins Podcast, I share 7 simple things to tell yourself before bed so you can quiet your mind, sleep better, and wake up feeling more positive. I know I can manage life as a new widow because I had to take on almost all responsibilities for our finances, property management ( including delegating major big ticket repairs on our 2 remaining rental properties ( duplex & single family house), scheduling all my husband’s drs appointments and medications, when his numerous chronic health conditions made it impossible for him to help or even drive. During 6 1/2 of those years I was also caregiver/ property manager for my daddy during his Alzheimer’s journey. Only with Gods help could I survive those tough years🙏🙏🙏💔💔. Life will go on……and I find comfort in knowing I gave the 2 most important men in my life all I could.

I can manage this” is simple, but powerful. Sometimes peace starts with what you choose to say to yourself before you go to sleep. 🧠

As a Uterine Cancer Survivor this mindset is critical for the patient’s health (physically and mentally). Great reminder! Thanks! 🙏

At night we can’t cope as well so it is best to say those four words, breathe and put the day to rest 🤍

Love the setting in the bed for a night time reminder. This was perfect as I was in bed about to turn in for the night. Keep inspiring us!

In 2025, I participated in a study at Stanford with a colleague of Dr Anna Lembke, Dr Sara Cohen-Fournier, on the role of spirituality in addiction recovery. (I’ve been clean and sober and in recovery for forty years). For me, as with many others in recovery, an important element in my response tool kit has been the idea that a power greater than myself is beside me assisting me with whatever challenges happen along. So, in addition to “I can manage it”, for me it’s also the belief that a power greater than myself is on the case along with me! ♥️ Like my hero Mr Rogers said, “if it’s mentionable, it’s manageable.” Huge hug from me to you for whatever challenges you are facing today. ♥️
