For a stroke, remember, BEFAST: Balance (loss of balance of coordination) Eyes(changes in vision) Face(drooping features on ONE side of the face) Arms(and legs)(weakness in limbs on ONE side of the body) Speech(difficulty speaking or understanding others) Time(call 911, note time of onset RIGHT AWAY... stroke medications are time sensitive, so you must BEFAST!!!

That last story has me bawling 😭😭😭 such a sweet cat. I’m glad that the OP lucked out with the cat distribution system.

Last story : The price of love is grief but its always worth it to remember the time being with them.

I rescued a cat from a horrible situation and then that cat became my shadow for 20 years. It's been 5 years now and I still swear I catch glimpses of her out of the corner of my eye. I miss her and never would consider it a mistake rescuing her

That last story I expected her to say she neglected all her friends in favor of the cat or something. That story was just the sad end to every pets story 🥺

My old cat, Kirby, a grey tabby with a cut on his nose, would have been eaten by coyotes when he was a kitten along side of the rest of his family. My aunt found him in her flower pot due to the momma cat's quick thinking... but momma didn't make it after she saved him. He was an amazing boy. So smart he could open doors, total badass, let dogs know who's in charge, loving and affectionate. He was always there for me during my roughest parts of high school. I loved him so much. He died several years ago. I still miss him every day. But I have two rescue cats now. A void boy and his tux sister. The tux will not stop touching me. The void keeps falling off things and making me laugh. They will never replace Kirby but they're still special, sweet little babies.

The cat story is so sweet... Better to love and have lost than to have never loved at all

Recognizing a stroke is *FAST* : *Face:* Ask the person to smile; check if one side of the face is drooping or numb. *Arm:* Ask the person to raise both arms; check if one arm drifts downward or is weak/numb. *Speech:* Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence; listen for slurred or strange speech. *Time:* If any of these symptoms are present, call 911 (or local emergency services) immediately because the *FASTER* they get treatment the less damage there will be.
