I think the Essentia Foundations ...through the consolidation of these bleeding edge ideas is in fact acting as one of the most single voices (if not the most ) in helping combat the crisis we as a world find us in.
I have recently, since the passing of my young son, begun spending considerable time in nature. As wild as is sounds, three birds (a blue, a crow, and a male hummingbird) frequent my garden and come to me at times when I call to them(?!) I am seeing and feeling a connection with these creatures that do not ‘make sense’ in our conditioned sense of self. I know intuitively that we are capable of far more than we have been taught. Thank you for this validation and hope for our potential evolution.
Farmer here: this is what all regenerative farmers know deeply. We use all of our senses to understand how things interact on the farm. We see different species interact with one another, make friendships and rivalries, we see when new insects or bird populations appear and decide what it may mean for the health of the farm. We have spider friends and snake friends and crows and buzzards that are always communicating to us or to our animals who then alert “us” (humans and dogs.) my son’s “brothers” are goats and yet we still eat them when the time comes. Anyone can achieve this. All you have to do is depend on nature and animals for your livelihood.
“The total number of minds in the universe is one,” Erwin Schrödinger wrote in his essay “Mind and Matter.”
I have found that taking my shoes off in the park, facing the sun, and doing deep breathing connects me to the plants, water, and animals around me. There is a strong felt sense of their goodness and beauty. The way trees are rooted in one place exchanging resources and energy and just being has been very healing for me. Thank you for this beautiful conversation. Blessings.
I was raised in the African wilderness - a vast semi desert region in South Africa. On an isolated farm I grew up with the indigenous San - Africa's first people. I learnt from them that nature is the ultimate teacher and healer. I studied Philosophy - Environmental Ethics, but would like to educate people experientially in the wild how to open their senses, re-learn nature's language and heal their lives. Funding in Africa is a huge problem, but I aim to reach out via my own channel in the near future. I appreciate the intellectual side, but we are nuture - we've just forgotten how to communicate with the matrix out of which we evolved. Modernity - the high tech, artificial world we live in, has cut us off from the very context that gives meaning to our existence. Just take a few minutes every day and sit under a tree or look up into the sky, or hold a rock in your hand and study it. Everything in nature is the result of complex processes and holds meaning. Nature speaks to us very clearly and our deep psyche totally understands that language.
One of the most beautifully profound conversations I have found on the net. Deeply appreciated.
"we need to feel again" "it's the only way we'll survive" 100%
This guy is incredible. Thank you for introducing him.
How beautiful it is.. "We are healing trees as much as they heal us." Wow ❤
