The fuel in the other Delorean used to get me too. Go back and watch it. Doc explains that he used the fuel in the Delorean in the cave to make that ice cube in that machine.
Marty and Doc swapping catchphrases is my favourite part from all three films. It’s such a nice payoff for fans.
The reference to ‘made in Japan’ is also to the fact that in the 1950s Japanese manufacturing and electronics had a bad reputation, not unlike ‘made in China’ has for so long been synonymous with poor quality. As you noted, this reputation changed so quickly that it would have sounded funny to someone in 1990.
It's crazy how much detail went into these films back then. truly a masterpiece of a trilogy.
"My favorite Clint Eastwood movie" I'm stealing that one.
WHAT. I had no idea the barbed wire salesman was based on a real person. That's what I love about these breakdowns! Even if it's a movie I've seen a hundred times, I always learn something new. Thanks, Paul!
I love everything about the trilogy. I was a teenager in the mid-80's and was instantly hooked when the original came out. Part 3 really highlights the brilliance of Tom Wilson. Of course Biff was integral to the first 2 movies, but I think BTTF is generally thought of as a Michael J Fox & Christopher Lloyd franchise (for good reason). Unlike both of them Tom was unknown before we were introduced to Biff, but he definitely deserves more love for the range he shows throughout the trilogy culminating with "Mad Dog" Tannen.
Doc Brown, being a genius, would know that fuel degrades after a certain amount of time, it might even have damaged the Delorean's fuel lines, so he would have drained the tank before sealing away the time machine. Given the limited shelf life of refined petroleum, and having little use for it in 1885, he probably disposed of it months ago
I love that when Marty said did Strickland ever have hair? Then in the west he did and then some. 🙂 Guy road in like a lion.
Im glad they haven't made anymore back to the future films you are right things is better left alone
