I don’t know if this has been mentioned- but apparently the judge recently lost his son and here in SC there is a lot of sympathy for him having to hear this case after suffering that loss. I already thought the judge was amazing beforehand but to see his objectivity with his personal strife raises my opinion of him even further

One thing that I found interesting... if Paul used to carry guns all the time, and it was known about him (I assume in this small community this would be known, knowing how careless he seemed), if anyone wanted to attack Paul I would assume they would not want to do this on his property, just in case he would have a gun with him. And if he truly carried the gun with himself, he must have been really surprised by someone on really not expect an attack. And if he was receiving death threats he should be more alert than average. I am not even American so the amount of guns and how casual they all are about them is so weird for me.

For the defense to emphasize how close Rogan was with Alex and the rest of the family makes his testimony about the video even more compelling.

It makes me so uncomfortable when Alex tries to interact with the witnesses - making direct eye contact, smiling, nodding, talking to them when they leave the stand. Like "good job, son" bullshit. Very much "I'm just a kindly southern father" vibes. 🙄 Also, ALL OF THIS EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERSHIP. WTF.
