I’m tired nerds complaining that we didn’t see the origin story it’s 2025 WE ALREADY SEE ORIGIN STORY ALREADY
Honestly this is what the concept of the multiverse is for. Not just a series of what if's but heroes existing in worlds different from the world's we know.
Hey guys apologies for the camera quality (and kids screaming) my internet has been down all day so had to make do with the old iPhone. Hope you guys still enjoy the review.
I feel like the worst complaint when it comes to CBM in 2025 is when it gets directly compared to the comics. “Oh well this character isn’t exactly how they are in this version of the comics I love so I think it’s a knock on the film” is genuinely a terrible point to make. Assess the character as how they are in the film. Comparing them to the comics where there are multiple iterations of the character done by multiple different writers is such a weak criticism point, doesn’t have anything to do with the actual film and has more to do with personal preferences.
SPOILERS: I thought Johnny Storm was gonna "Iron Man Sacrifice" himself at the end. I also thought they'd lose to Galactus, their Earth reality would get eaten and they'd flee to the 616 universe. Galactus was bad-ass tbh...
I’m an uncle and that moment between Johnny asking the surfer to be the sacrifice really spoke to me, it’s a really insidious situation and I would do that for my sister in a second, it really invested me in their family dynamic. Both movies were visually stunning tho. FF feels like there’s 30 minutes of character development cut for the surfer/johnny/galactus that would have made it better
Imagine if Marvel never would have revealed Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom. And the end credit scene would have been our first time seeing Dr. Doom! And we all would only find out. It was Robert Downey Jr. when the avengers Doomsday came out.
Thunderbolts and now F4! 2 good Marvel movies in a row!
This movie made me feel that this Reed is more in line with the Maker than anything with the others we have seen His stating that he has to think of all the bad stuff felt like a seed being planted. The fact that he knew where all these other "threats" such as the Wizard and such are at yet chose to do it his way without any other help from those others.
Dude was better at playing Johnny Storm than I expected
