It’s insane how underrated book called TestoGenesis Protocol by Angelico still is. Anyone serious about peak testosterone should’ve read this already.
Three months till 68 and getting younger every day. Dr. Huberman you are a blessing to the World. My heartfelt appreciation ❤
The value of these podcasts is so high. All the things I've learnt over the years of listening... so many things I would never have known and which have really helped. Plus the discussions with so many interesting individuals... people I would never have known about and it's so wonderful to listen to such great conversations. Andrew Huberman is so brilliant with everyone, which is what makes it so nice to listen to. He adapts to the person he's talking to...a really natural interviewer. I'm so glad I found this podcast. It's the only one I listen to, but I listen every week and even the titles in not sure about, I've learnt so much and really enjoyed. Thank you so much, Andrew. I know it must be tough to be in the public domain, but you have benefitted so many and have most definitely benefitted me... in knowledge and enjoyment! Wonderful guests too!
Thank you Dr. Huberman, team and supporters
My favorite podcast but this one kinda gave me the ick. I never read the comments but it seems like other people maybe got the same feeling.
Don't wait until advanced aging shows to take care of yourselves! Happy Monday, everyone! ❤
How to save 2 hours of your life: 1. Leveraging "Young Blood" Factors The core of Dr. Wyss-Coray's research involves identifying proteins that are abundant in youth but diminish with age. Reactivation of Stem Cells: Introducing "young" blood factors into an older organism can reactivate dormant stem cells in the brain, leading to reduced inflammation and increased neural activity [00:11]. Cognitive Improvement: These factors have been shown to significantly improve memory and cognitive function in older subjects [00:26]. Mitochondrial Health: Rejuvenating factors target mitochondria (the energy producers of cells), which are essential for cellular vitality [19:13]. 2. Reducing Age-Related Inflammation Restoring youthfulness isn't just about adding "good" factors; it’s also about removing or neutralizing "bad" ones. Neutralizing Inflammatory Proteins: Aging leads to an accumulation of inflammatory proteins in the blood. Dr. Wyss-Coray explains that neutralizing these specific proteins can improve cognition and overall organ health [17:08]. 3. The Power of Exercise Exercise acts as a natural "rejuvenation" tool by changing the molecular composition of your blood. Exercise-Induced Factors: Physical activity releases specific proteins and "pro-growth" factors into the bloodstream that have been shown to rejuvenate brain tissue and other organs [01:04]. Systemic Benefit: These exercise-born molecules circulate throughout the body, providing a readout of health and acting as a form of "medicine" for older tissues [07:20]. 4. Strategic Lifestyle Interventions The discussion highlights how specific behaviors can trigger the release of youthful molecules: Sunlight and Fasting: These are mentioned as molecular approaches that influence hormone levels and vitality [02:01]. Social Interactions: Engaging in social activity is also noted for its ability to release health-promoting molecules into the blood [02:09]. 5. Understanding the "Aging Clock" Non-Linear Aging: Aging doesn't happen at a steady pace. It accelerates during specific phases: puberty, the early 40s, and the early 60s [01:37]. Being aware of these windows can help in applying more rigorous health protocols during high-risk periods. Organ-Specific Aging: Different organs age at different rates. Measuring these "epigenetic clocks" allows for more targeted interventions to make specific organs look and function "younger" [12:31].
Many cultures practice the many forms of physical therapy and fasting to heal the body and relieve mental stress. Personally Ive always done this intermittent fasting with only 1-2 bigger meals daily, daily long walks about 1 hour on average, longer baths and occasional cold showers. And with time I've noticed how often ppl comment I look very young for my age and my mental strength has been very strong, today I'm 42 and often told I look 20
In regards to longevity versus vitality conversation, if hormone therapy is started closer to menopause before a woman is 10 years post their last menstrual period there is decreased all cause mortality so in that case there is both longevity and Vitality
