What I heard: Test: when someone agrees with you, does the energy in the room go up or down? If they agree and the energy drops, you just got compliance. If they lean in and the energy goes up, that’s alignment.

Many times I have had managers tell me what to do, to do what is absolutely wrong, blatantly wrong, and I have walked out of that company. Values are most important, honesty and integrity worth more than anything else. Strong people are those who value honesty and integrity, will not cow down to those that are control freaks that demand to do what is wrong.
