I have said it once and i will say it again: hearing “and then Op posted an update” on a juicy story is one of the best feelings

Wouldn’t that story 2 (the hearing story) be a big ADA violation with massive fines and a big payout for OP as if was blatant discrimination based on the OPs hearing disability That “you can’t expect written communications all the time” is flat false they CAN as it’s a reasonable accommodation for their disability

If story 2 is American, OP can sue her employer for violating the ADA. It probably wouldn't be worth it given what happened. But employers are required to make reasonable accommodations for employees that are communicated them; which they were. That means, OP's boss and Tenny needed to suck it up and make sure OP heard them.

Of course the boss congratulated the second OP privately and immediately followed it up by requesting she guide her pet teachers on how to do better. Still, I’m glad that things worked out extremely well for OP in the end, losing the stipend was well worth not having to lose so much time and effort and stress.

Huh, this is new, usually we hear stories about people being cheated on with their siblings. It’s good that OP got out of his funk and that his girlfriend was so sweet and supportive over this.

"Hey, I stole your position, but can you still do the work for me?"

"You shouldn't expect email responses" Yes I should... I have a hearing disability and by law you are required to accommodate...

Struggle: My wife is a teacher. Her department head was always coming to her to do more for her. She eventually submitted her name to be the department head when the previous head stepped down. She did a lot of extra work, but started butting heads with the former department head in ways she didn't expect and had not done in previous years. Then she started getting anonymous complaints about her. So she decided it was not worth the hassle. The former head of department applied for it again the next year but was not up to the standards my wife had set in the minds of the other staff, so they split the department head (and the stipend) into two positions. Now two people are sharing a 2k early stipend to do double the work they singed up for and doing it half as well as my wife had been doing it. (yes, I am biased)

Those teachers didn’t throw OP under the bus, they threw Tenny under the bus because she thought she could do better and wanted to act a fool! Congratulations to OP for increasing her students performance and for living her best life! 😁

Story 3. She actually sounds miserable
