The amount of greed in the current era is so insane

We were getting 50,000 streams a day on Spotify from our song that went viral only for it to be removed from our profile, replaced with an AI version, and then switched over to a fake / AI artist's profile. Even more ridiculous is that the fake artist inherited the million or so streams we had accumulated. It took us over a year to get the song back on our Spotify profile which was just enough time for the viral momentum we had to fade. We think there's probably thousands of these fake / AI artists on Spotify and it's really making things harder for normal everyday artists to experience some level of success.

What’s worse is if you’re a real artist and start to gain any traction they will likely just remove your music from the platform. I had a song go semi viral on social media and generate about 60,000 monthly listeners on Spotify in a month. A month later the song was removed from Spotify and they withheld any and all royalties claiming the streams were all fraudulent. Since it happened to me I’ve seen stories of the same exact thing happening to over 20 other artists.
