Just to say, if you are not on top of your strength training and potentially have weak ankles (but still don’t know it)… I would recommend to go easy with the likes of Novablast 5 and Adidas Sl evo. Peroneal tendinitis is a real risk with softer shoes like these ones if you don’t have strong ankles.. talking from experience 🤣
I bought the novablast 5 you recommended and just ran my first 10k today! Yay! Thank you
Ben never mentioned that all of these shoes are for neutral runners. If you're a pronator (very flat feet) like myself here are a few shoes I highly recommend: 1. Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24: so far my favorite every day running shoe. 2. Asics Gel Kayano 32 3. Hoka Arahi 7 4. Nike Structure 26 5. New Balance Fresh Foam 860v14 6. Hoka Gaviota 5: best for long runs up to a half marathon, best for severe pronation. 7. Saucony Hurricane: incredible support with a lot of cushioning.
Not Ben saying stinkers and showing the Sonicblast. 😭 😂
An updated EVO SL with a gusseted tongue that stays in place and better laces would definitely trump the rest.
Great vid! Small note, the EVO SL has the same Lightstrike Pro as the Adios Pro 3, the AP v4 has an updated formula [softer/bouncier] of Lightstrike pro foam.
I asked my son to buy me a pair of Superblast 2 from the Tokyo Asics store when he was on holiday in Japan last week. They cost just £110. Eventually they'll replace the Superblast 1s I bought in Tokyo nearly 2 years ago for £105, which seem to be lasting forever.
Thanks Ben, good summary. Brooks Glycerin is my daily trainer, and worth a shout out too. Nice cushioned trainer for around £130.
Everything I own from Salomon is just such great quality. Vest, flasks, camelback, mittens, gaiter, and a headband. Just ordered the AG3 and can't wait to run in it!
Just did my pb half wearing the purple shirt and running shorts from you Ben. Well worth the money. The shorts held my large phone battery pack, jelly babies. Best running shorts I ever had. The shirt looked class, much more exciting than a dull one. You and team rule. Postcard lovely touch. Will buy more. Highly reccomend.
