I'm not a heavier runner, just a fat runner
I’m a much bigger runner (not by tall, but fat) and I have noticed that firmer midsole work for me better. But I appreciate this list and helping us try some things out.
6ft2 100 kg runner around 15-20 miles per week. Using vomero plus for longer runs and asics nova blast for faster shorter runs. Both game changing shoes for me as a runner who also does a lot of strength training. Highly recommended. Hope this helps 🙌🏻
Megablast definitely
325lb to 248lb currently, Bondi 9, Salomon Aeroglide 3, Brooks Hyperion Max 3, and Puma Magmax. All great without being too soft even at my then weight, they're getting better as the weight drops.
I can't believe £150-£200 is the going rate for a decent pair of every day running shoes! 🤷♂
Only the Triumph 23 works for me. As a heavier runner I have tested many shoes and I have realised that the platform should be wider and the foam not that soft in my case.
The Nike Vomero Plus comes in Extra Wide. I'm in Canada
Hoka skyward X is amazing for larger runners 🏃🏻
Brooks Beast. Has a wider fit option as well.
