The line that got me was right before he left to save Krypto. "He's just a dog" "Yea and hes not a very good one. But hes alone and hes probably scared"
For me, it was the fact that he was trying to figure out a way to remove the kaiju from the city safely without really harming it. Even as he's protecting everyone from it, he's also trying to save it, because he doesn't see a threat or a monster, he sees an animal that has wandered into a place it doesn't belong and needs rescuing as much as any one else. That's MY Superman.
I’m so glad Mr terrific was in this movie, I’ve been waiting for people to see how goated he is

Lois: “You’re not punk rock, you see the beauty in everyone” Clark: “maybe that’s the real punk rock” … Superman: “I’m as human as anyone, and that’s my greatest strength, and I hope in time, you realize it’s yours too Lex” THIS IS SUPERMAN!
We get a Superman in a world that should be very grateful that he was found and raised by such kind and decent people. It's nature versus nurture and we're lucky that nurture won.
I knew he this was my Superman when he interacted with the children after the kaiju fight. He picks up that little girl and gets swarmed by a bunch of kids who all felt comfortable enough to approach him and touch him. He seemed so welcoming and natural in his interaction with them, and you just knew that this is a moment that will shape how those kids grow up. They will never forget that moment, and it will be such a positive memory for them.
When Superman tells Lois he's going to turn himself in, as it's the best plan he's got to try to find Krypto. "He's not even my dog, he's more of a foster. He's not even a good dog. But right now he's scared and alone, and I need to help him..." That was one moment that got to me. I thought of my dog being alone and afraid and damn.... 😢.
Loved how Superman calls crypto “dude”. Previously I’ve seen Superman as like a greek god figure not just a guy you might meet in real life. So cool
At the very end, when Gary says to show his parents because it soothes him, but this time it was Ma and Pa, had me sobbing.
