As a german citizen I am saying that the durability of Mercedes ended in 1995. The brand is still living from the reputation of the 70s and 80s. This situation Mark is living right now with their C300 is the best example of it. best greetings from Bavaria.

German luxury vehicles are rather tragic. They look lovely and the driving experience is unmatched. But when things start to go wrong its a nightmare.

Moral of the story don't buy a German car unless you got 1. Deep pockets, 2. Warranty 3. Patience to deal with BS! Happy New Year 😂🙏👍🏼

Such a lovely looking car too. One thing I have learned is not too get emotionally involved with vehicles. They are just objects of transport. I am a car guy, but life is too short to worry about unreliable cars 😉

With respect to the sound that you’re hearing from the front end, I believe that’s the well-known crabbing issue that Mercedes knows about in the C class and GLC class originally it was only to be happening on RHD cars a lot of people first started detecting it on the GLC 43 but it’s been a known issue on all C class models. Mercedes won’t do anything about it other than say it’s normal others have said that putting all season tires versus having performance or winter tires seems to be the best solution to reduce the sound and grinding

I'm so old I remember when Merc made high-quality cars! Reputations take decades to earn and weeks to lose.

Own 2019 Mercedes S560. Had malfunction with right rear door handle. Keyless entry/ locking quit working. Mercedes stated I need new wiring harness that will cost$1,600 to fix the issue. I have warranty but this is not covered, go figure. I self diagnosed and just broken plug on harness where the handle goes into. I cut it and resoldered it and now working. Sometimes Mechanics struggle to diagnose it if the computer doesn't say whats's wrong. I still love my S class as it has been trouble free so far with regular maintenance. Good luck to you and your wife. Great video.

Back in my day their cars were overengineered. Mostly doctors and lawyers drove them. Now they are ordinary cars.
