Gene Hackman was never in a bad movie, was never in a bad role, and never did a bad job.

Man, this film had one hell of a twist ending. The 1980s were the peak of neo-noir thrillers.

THAT was the ending that no one expected.

1987 was the year that made Kevin Costner's career. No Way Out and The Untouchables both came out that year, and Costner went from an unknown actor to an A-list celebrity practically overnight.

RIP, Gene Hackman. This is a great spy thriller with a very surprising twist ending that you will not see coming.

R.I.P. Gene Hackman. He was not only one of the greatest actors in Hollywood history, he was also one of the most prolific. There was never a year that passed during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s that you didn't see Gene Hackman in a movie.

33:23 “How dare you about Kevin Costner?!?” “His smile could light up a room!” 😆

The cool thing about this movie is that in most spy thrillers, the agent who seduces their way into the confidence is a woman (usually called a "honey trap" or "honey pot") and you know that's what they are early on. In this case the "honey trap" is a man and you don't find out what he's up to until the end. Great film!
