Charlie turns 31 and instantly becomes a wine mom
Charlie gets addicted to expensive wines: “I’m turning it back on”
Nothing like watching Jesus having some of the finest wine
Having a real wine expert on made this a lot of fun.
This guy has completely changed my pov on sommeliers, he’s so chill and respectful yet very educational and knows his stuff, not afraid to show his passion
I love how their confidence increases even as their guesses continue to get worse
Why did they buy all this expensive wine when Jesus in the middle could just have turned water into it for free?!?
The 6 dollar wine turning out to be $4500 was so funny 😭
As a fellow somm (CMS-A tier 1, working on 2), it is super cool to see this guy representing the community very well on a large scale. As he said, it's not about being pretentious or trying to sound smart, it's a bunch of people who just have a hyperfixation on a fun subject and like to drink.
i noticed the wine expert poured the cheaper wines overhand or didn't care to slowly stop the pour to prevent spillage (2:19, 16:34, 33:08, 36:51, 51:30), but the expensive wines he served underhand (24:25) or carefully twisted the bottle in hist wrist (9:31, 45:05) as he broke the stream pouring into the glass to prevent spillage. His subconscious respect for the product was displayed in the way he handled it.
