Greatest Exoskeleton of All Time? Testing the Hypershell
Discover if this $1,500 Hypershell exoskeleton truly assists hiking, eases strain, or simply makes walking feel like running in sand.
Short Summary
- The Hypershell focuses on reducing strain during activities like hiking rather than boosting speed or lifting capacity.
- Battery life and firmware updates presented immediate challenges during initial testing runs.
- In hyper mode, the device exhibits strong assistive power (up to 100%), but rapid stops or elevation changes cause uncomfortable lurching.
- Testing revealed maximum speeds reached 18 mph, suggesting speed assistance is secondary to strain reduction. This review tests the capabilities and limitations of the Hypershell exoskeleton, an apparatus designed primarily for outdoor activities. Readers will see firsthand how adaptive power modes affect movement, battery performance issues encountered, and where this technology fits in the current wearable robotics market.

Turns 30 and needs an exoskeleton. Bro is aging fast.
"Are exoskeletons a scam" Insects: 👁👄👁
So I actually have a friend who uses one at work a lot. He uses a cane because he is disabled. He backed this on kickstarter. When he uses it, it's night and day in his walking. I can see how much it helps him. He also says it's a huge difference. The company has actually reached out to him so they can study his unit because he has used it consistently so much and are sending him a replacement for it. People treating this like it's a joke is actually kind of sad. Because of how much it has helped him out.
Charles, the YouTube community needs your help. Dozens of channels are currently getting banned by YouTube's AI for being associated with a random foreign channel. I got a community guidelines strike on a video for "child safety" when I was urging YouTube to keep kids safe. AI moderation is worse than it's ever been, and it needs to be discussed.
My mom has PPMS and just got one of these. It's only been a week, but it's already a huge help to her mobility. She used to run marathons, and one of the hardest things for her has been losing the strength in her legs. We went for a walk using it yesterday, and she told me she feels like she might be able to go for a run using the exo. It'd be the first time in ten years she's been able to do that. This shit is incredible.
-Moist turns 30 -Starts looking into assisted mobility
I spent 20 minutes watching two men walk
You guys should donate that to a rehab centre, long term care facility, or someone who could make good use of it.
I met a postal worker with one of these! He'd had a stroke and had lost a lot of strength in his legs. He said he wouldn't be mobile without this and that it changed his life. I think this isn't super helpful for making you superhuman but is instead a mobility device meant to bring someone with low mobility up to normal levels. I think in a few years things like these will become normal parts of rehab for injuries and much more common in workplaces with manual labour.
I’m a disabled veteran and wish the VA would make things like this widely available.
