For story, one Op needs to leave him seriously. He is mentally and emotionally abusive. If not for herself then 100% for her kids
RSlash, that is not a whiny man-baby or an actually suicidal person, that is a very emotionally abusive piece of crap and nothing else. It's not a tantrum, it's very deliberate.
Truly suicidal people DO NOT threaten to do it all the damn time. They don't talk about it overtly, they just do it. When someone is constantly threatening it they just want attention or to get their way...ignore them and it takes their power away. If your (in)significant other does this kind of bullsh*t to you then just walk away. Don't play their stupid little games
As someone waiting to get on the transplant list, OP is NOT obligated to give his kidney and shouldn't do it if he doesn’t feel comfortable.
S2: if anyone is in a situation like this ... When alone with hospital staff, tell them youre being pressured - they'll find an excuse for you
First Story, NTA: OP needs to leave this man. Using suicide as a manipulation strategy is disgusting. There are people who actually do struggle with those thoughts and this pos uses it as a way to get his way and manipulate OP. I don’t think he really is suicidal because he is mad at OP because his repuation was ruined. If he was serious, OP did the right thing but he doesn’t see it as that. OP's husband is abusive and using his own life to hold OP hostage.
Story 4: "Why are all of my relationships failing? I'm only just lying about my interests and then crapping on said interests I was lying about!" Is this woman for real? People don't like being lied to, especially when it comes to someone's character and personality. Sorry that she's struggling in getting a BF, but lying and then *TRYING TO GET SOMEONE FIRED OVER A BREAKUP* isn't gonna help
As a person with clinical, chronic depression, Ive never used it to force my partner to do what I want. That man isnt gonna kill himself. He just knows OPs insecurities and is using it to control her.
Having a suicidal person in a house with a gun is an issue. He's not suicidal though, he's emotionally abusive...And OP needs to pull her head out of her arse and see that because autistic kids do not do well with emotionally abusive people.
My response to the last one would be "since being unable to hear the car starting is untenable, we will go back to starting the car with the garage door open so you can hear it start."
