One day, I would love to be interviewed. I am a 74-year-old woman who began carnivore about five years ago to address my ‘chronic progressive arthritis’ when it was indicated I might end up in a wheelchair. I’ve had several spinal surgeries with fusions, including the cervical area. I am now so well - I look at least 10 years younger and I’m pain-free. My doctors found it unbelievable and the only concern seems to be my elevated LDL. I explain the cholesterol hypothesis and the flaws, but I kinda get an eye roll. X
We've been taught nothing but lies about food and medicine our entire life. Lots of unlearning to do. Thanks for this episode.
Dr Chaffee, my partner and I have been trying to ditch over 40 yrs of vegetarianism. It was hard at first, due to veg mind-set, but we have done it! Can now eat some fish and some meats, including steak! Yay! Working on including more and more meat in our diet. Thanks! ❤

Everybody that I see that is carnivore has really good skin, especially the tightness, the skin seems to be firm and glowing.
My wife is concerned I’ll die of a heart attack. I eat mostly eggs, Wagyu hamburger, and chuck steak. I’m worried she will become brittle. She doesn’t eat much meat.
I ate a whole foods, 100% organic Weston Price diet for 5+ years. Organ meats, pastured eggs, raw milk, properly soaked whole grains and legumes. I even transitioned to GAPS towards the end of that period. I made everything at home from scratch, including organic traditionally fermented sourdough bread. I just got sicker and sicker, until around one year ago I came very close to dying of dysautonomia. I had gone downhill until finally I was unable to consume solid food. By supplementing thiamine, I got to where I could eat solid food again and then went carnivore. The difference between eating carnivore and being in ketosis versus eating a "perfect" organic whole foods diet with zero processed foods is night and day. One was killing me, the other is making it possible for me to heal.
Carnivore for 2 years top 10 things it did for me: 1. Healed my post shingles nerve pain allowing me to get off gabapentin (1800mg per day) after 12 years of pain 2. Healed my debilitating OCD, anxiety and depression and allowed me to get off psych meds 3. Reduced my acid reflux allowing me to get off my PPI after taking it for 10+ years 4. Increased testosterone from 312 to 486 5. Lowered blood pressure from hypertensive to normal range 6. Lowered triglycerides 185 to 59 7. Raised HDL from 32 to 50 8. Lost 35 lbs 9. Off Zyrtec (25 years) for allergies 10. Got rid of my arthritis in my hands
YES. Calling ketosis "a fasting diet" and claiming that it's only purpose is weight loss is the number one thing that kept me from discovering the diet that would save my life for years. I did not need to lose any weight, but I definitely needed to repair my nervous system and mitochondria.
