black coffee and a cigarette is my pre-run meal staple.
I find a large pepperoni and jalapeño dominos washed down with 6 Estrella's hinders my performance somewhat.
It's empty stomach run for me... best feeling ever!
I always stop by Greggs mid run
My go to before a half marathon is a banana boat (banana, peanut butter, honey).
Greek yoghurt, granola and blueberries is my breakfast 90 mins before my morning run.
I notice that a cup of coffee gives me energy but it gives me the runs… so I use it now to speed up my pre run donation to the toilet and I feel great… also I used to do fasted runs and once I started eating more I notice my performance significantly increase…
I ran a 19 minute park run on half a cup of coffee and a curry and 5 pints the night before. Perfect carb load
Favourite post run meal has to be 10 beers
Just started running. Found out the hard way today that i should avoid certain foods pre-run… being an asthmatic and 290lbs/131kg certainly don’t help either. 😞 Here’s to trying again in a couple days.
