Absolute legend. Never any ego, your channel consistently motivates thousands of people to be their best. Year after year. You guys make me proud to be a runner.
I just ran my first marathon today and you played a huge part in my decision. I’ve been running since 2013, but always felt intimidated by distance. Over a year ago I found your channel and your fueling tips helped me unlock longer efforts. I ran my first half in early 2014, but had no idea what I was doing. Thank you so much for being a true inspiration and making the marathon a lot more accessible.
I was 245lbs last July 2025 at 5'5. I was only walking, trying to lose weight. November 2025 when I got my first pair of good shoes which is the Nike Vomero Plus. Since then I started running, picked up the pace, and as of now, I'm down to 163lbs. By the end of this month (March) I will be running a marathon. I already done 35KM runs so I'm feeling confident. I love running as it does need you to be genius, talented, or a prodigy. Patience & consistency will show you the fruits of your labor. If anyone just got into running, don't give up, keep pushing, and never forget to enjoy every step! :)
I adjust my cadence to the efforts. My easy runs are around 170, the tempo efforts are more towards 180. If I do my easy runs at 180 it feels really unnatural and ineffective.
I havent ever ran anything but I just signed up for my first 10k. Love your channel.
one of the biggest things is... if it genuinely hurts to run, take time off to recover, no need to hurt yourself.
1:27 I take my easy runs too easy, I see 😂
So important!!! Those relax paces makes it clear that I’ve been running too fast.
8:42 stopping the video to go to bed😂
Started running again after stuffing heart failure so appreciate the video.
