Some words of experience, as a retired professional, of all the things I wish I could do over, I would have spent more time with my kids growing up ❤
Velvet Gardens of Her Paradise by Eleanore Blake reminded me that emotional clarity and self-respect are as important as financial strategy.
Prosperity Unleashed by Landon Sorel helped me see that true prosperity is built internally first, then externally, mirroring everything Natalie shares.
You absolutely CAN burn out if your body gives up on you. I'm the same age as her and used to be just like her; I pushed myself mentally and physically until my body eventually gave out. I developed an autoimmune disease and now I'm chronically ill and on disability, unable work at all. This mindset destroyed me and I will pay for it the rest of my life. Stress kills and although you may not feel stressed, your body absolutely is and will suffer the consequences over time. Despite being ill, I'm happier now than I was then. I was forced to re-evaluate what's important and I appreciate that joy comes from finding appreciation and meaning in the small things.
I’m a woman in business and a founder who built my company when my son was five months old. I breastfed on VC calls and pushed through postpartum recovery while running a startup, so it’s always interesting hearing other women’s stories. But it’s hard to compare that to someone who married a multimillionaire and built their career without the realities of motherhood. Those are fundamentally different starting points. I respect Natalie’s business skills and there’s a lot she says that I genuinely appreciate and feel inspired by. I don’t want to take away from her achievements at all- she’s clearly doing remarkable work. But her commentary on mothers and working parents just doesn’t land. It feels disconnected from what building actually looks like when you’re doing it from scratch, without financial cushioning, and while raising a child. That’s a different level of resilience- one she hasn’t had to navigate.
I'm so happy he pushed back so much, thank you. That lady is so disconnected from what really matters, it's actually insane.
Putting wealth over human basic needs and what’s really important will destroy us all
This conversation about mindset is so refreshing! It totally reminds me of how Rumora helps me promote my business without the stress of traditional ads.
I am not a millionaire but my wife and kids smiles sure make me feel like one.
