I base foods on how they make Me feel. Fermented foods make my gut feel good and my energy be well.

Actually, raw unpasteurized sauerkraut is both prebiotic and probiotic. The fiber acts as a prebiotic by feeding beneficial gut bacteria, and fermentation produces live Lactobacillus strains that support microbial diversity. Studies (like those in Frontiers in Microbiology) confirm these effects. It’s one of the most potent natural microbiome boosters

Fermenting fairy Lauren Mones products are great! Especially the Hibiscus Kefir and Vanilla spice pear sauce

Microbes from fermented foods actually colonise the gut whereas store bought probiotics are only there transitory

Fermenting foods help destroy the plant toxins also. Like cabbage is a good example.
