Him talking about how great Paul was ground my gears. My father never met a stranger. Wasn’t a person on earth he wouldn’t give the shirt off his back. He was generous, gregarious, and had a fantastic sense of humor. He also routinely beat my mother to within an inch of her life. No one knew but our immediate family. No one would have believed us. You can be a wisened generous piece of shit.

Replay crew: I think Creighton’s point in beating this to death is that he looked people in the eye and lied so frequently and with such ease because if he felt guilt in those moments he’d probably remember at least a specific time or two. He can’t remember any specific conversations because he felt no guilt. He could look them in the eyes, lie to them, and feel such little guilt over it he doesn’t even remember a single conversation. So why would he hesitate to lie to the jury??

AM use if “loan” is like AH’s use of “Pledge.”

When he said „I cared about all of them and I still do today“ I instantly thought „so you‘re not above doing bad things to people you say you care about“.

Let me add Creighton did a great job showing the jury when Alex was lying. Alex remembers everything from ‘98 to now but anytime they asked something damning like his badge use and other things he “doesn’t recall”

IMHO I feel like Creighton might be trying to humanize the financial victims. It's easy to overlook that these were real people who trusted Alex implicitly. I know when he talked about Elise Mallory I actually teared up. Horrible horrible situation all around.

Alex is very good at deflecting.

I can't believe AM is allowed to be sooo evasive in his answers. If he says, 'idk, but I won't dispute that' one more bloody time. He's gonna give me an aneurysm.
