Whatever FDA says I try to avoid it. I found myself in this rabbit hole of so many industry lies when I read "The 23 Former Doctor Truths". Its no wonder why Doctor left her career.

Summary 🔬 Gut Fuel Mechanism: The small intestine depends on glutamine for energy, crucial for maintaining gut integrity and preventing leaky gut. 🌱 Importance of Butyrate: Butyrate, produced by gut microbes, fuels the large intestine, showcasing the distinct energy needs of gut regions. 🛡 Immune and Gut Link: The gut acts as the body’s frontline defense, with its thin cellular wall playing a critical role in blocking external threats. ⚙ Glutamine's Role Beyond Muscle: While not vital for muscle growth, glutamine is essential for gut health and overall immune function. 🏃 Exercise and Gut Health: Intense physical activity can deplete glutamine levels, leading to leaky gut and associated symptoms. 💊 Chronic Stress and Digestion: Chronic stress affects digestion by disrupting blood flow to the intestines and contributing to conditions like bacterial overgrowth. 🧠 Gut-Brain Axis: A leaky gut can lead to brain inflammation, worsening conditions like anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders due to neurotransmitter imbalances. ⚖ Nutrient Synergy: Adequate levels of magnesium and vitamin B6 are critical for converting glutamate to GABA, ensuring relaxation and balanced brain function. 🕊 Quick Interventions: Supplements like glutamine and magnesium can provide immediate relief while addressing long-term gut health goals. Insights Based on Numbers 20 grams/day: Recommended glutamine supplementation for individuals recovering from surgery or intense physical activity. 4-5 grams every 4 hours: Supplementation helped an athlete reduce race time by three hours and eliminated gastrointestinal symptoms. One Cell Thick: The small intestine's thin lining highlights its vulnerability to damage and the importance of proper fuel.

TLDW 1. Optimize health instead of treating illness. 2. Glutamine helps to support the integrity of your GI system. 3. Support your GABA system to balance glutamate/GABA levels, through correcting zinc, copper levels and supplementing magnesium and vitamin B6.

When I was diagnosed with autoimmune and learned about leaky gut, I started my healing journey with healing the leaky gut. I made a homemade broth for 6-8 weeks (different meats/bones) and sipped a cup before coffee every single day for 6-8 weeks. And bc of the glutamine, I believe it is how I kickstarted that healing. My antibodies dropped by over x3 in 1 year. This is not just 1 step of this process, but this was the step #1

I have ADHD and I was testing out various supplements recently and Glutamine ended up being more effective for me than my medication.

My gut flora and microbome got wiped out after 10 weeks of intravenous Cipro, al.ost killed me, bedridden for over a year, inflammatory all over my body, drastic weight loss, hair falling out, went to 3 doctors and no help from any of them, offered me antidepressants! I had to read, research on how to heal myself, been 2 years now, I am better ,gained my weight back but still deal with inflammation like nuropathy. I have to continue probotics ,eating fermented foods, if I stop ,it starts all over. I cant rely on a doctor, they refuse to say anything about antibiotics, they dont have no idea how important gut health is, are just dont care. 😢
