In the years before the 1990’s, many more people unbeknownst to themselves practiced intermittent fasting. However, the 1990’s is around the time when snacking and food and dining options exploded and people were eating throughout the day. And to those who were born AFTER the 1990’s, the concept of intermittent fasting is completely foreign to them. This is where we are now- Obesity, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease & Cancer. Thank you Thomas for reintroducing me to intermittent fasting. It’s a lifestyle I will never change.
Fasting just feels good. Lots of energy, no food comas, no heaviness in my guts. It's a little reversed for me, where fasting is the "lifestyle" and breaking the fast or having a feast day full of protein is the "tool".
I fast because I want to support my wife, who is an Intermittent Faster. Also, I find that eating 2 meals a day helps to keep my blood glucose under control (I'm NOT diabetic) and because I sleep better (we stop eating by 2:00 PM). Lastly, as a life long athlete, I think it fits in my lifestyle and mindset.
I am one for the science. And I totally respect the findings. But on a personal note when I fast and weight train the way my body appreciates the gains and results is beyond amazing. I listen to my body I call it my field doctor. I appreciate this video. Thanks doc l
I will never stop fasting because I did try every diet to lose weight but nothing did work What I love about fasting is that I just don't eat a period of time
Lost 55 pounds in a year due to fasting and walking. Easiest and simplest way to lose body fat.
I still do atleast 18 hours every day, sometimes up to 20. I also try to throw in 1 multi day fast per week ranging between 36-44 hours.
I have a food addiction and AMEN about the focus!!!! I lacked discipline with food. It was my comfort, now it is my fuel.
302 days no alcohol ✨🦅
Fasting is a fun tool! Been following fasting protocols since 1978, not going to stop now. Been fasting 39hrs, since yesterday. I mix things up. I neglected fasting, among other things, after a terrible tragedy and gained 56lbs that I lost in 8 months of focused fasting 5 years ago and fasting has helped me maintain my size 4-6.
