The End of Ozempic: The Major Drawbacks Making Everyone Quit
Analyzing and Overcoming Drawbacks of GLP-1 Receptor Agonists
Stop the weight loss plateau and regain long-term health trajectory after quitting GLP-1 drugs by proactively managing lifestyle habits, metabolic function, and potential side effects like suppressed drive and gastric distress.
Short Summary
- Establish robust exit strategies before stopping GLP-1 medication to prevent immediate habit relapse and metabolic crash post-drug.
- Address decreased training intensity and micronutrient deficiencies arising from prolonged caloric restriction during treatment.
- Implement targeted nutritional shifts, like increasing protein/fat intake and focusing on isometrics, to preserve Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and muscle mass.
This session details six major drawbacks associated with GLP-1 medications and provides actionable workarounds focusing on nutritional timing, nutrient density, and exercise intensity to ensure lasting results once discontinued.

My Nutrient-Dense Meal Plan is FREE. Comprehensive, yet simple to understand: http://www.thomasdelauer.com/eatrealfood - no strings attached, just a thank you for watching my vids and joining my newsletter. Hope you have success with it!
I am 6 months on Tirzepatide (Mounjaro), start 2,5 mg, now 12,5 mg. From 352 lbs to 264 lbs.
GLP-1s are only a tool. They don’t make weight loss easy but they do help. If you want long term success you need to change the habits that gained the weight while you are taking the GLP-1. I have so far maintained my muscle and bone (per Dexa scans) by staying at the lowest possible dose, prioritizing protein and Whole Foods, but also getting regular exercise.
Oh Oh Oh Ozempic. Something tells me everyone isn’t quitting Ozempic.
Always awesome information so I can tweak my diet and exercise. Thank you!
Mr. Delauer, weight loss doesn't happen effortlessly when taking GLP-1. For me, for example, it doesn't suppress my appetite; it just brings it back to normal. I still exercise intensely and eat healthily. In fact, I've been counting calories and weighing my food for 30 years. I find it highly unfair that a stereotype has become so prevalent that it's repeated without any thought.
Good information
My husband ended up in hospital 6 months in after dose increased. Gastroperisis? I don't know how to spell it. In other words paralyzed stomach and intestines. It was touch and go the first time. Very serious. Happened again about 3 months later. Only partially. He quit Ozempic. No .ore problem with his stomach or intestines so far. Now almost a year later. I do keto he doesn't. He gained all the weight back. He is diabetic. ❤ Scary stuff.
Awfully sweeping generalizations that no one changes their lifestyle while on these drugs. You would be incorrect.
It’s not the end…..this is just the beginning. It’s called modern science and convenience
