Description

1,700 Americans will die from cancer today. 70 every single hour. Professor Thomas Seyfried says it doesn't have to be this way, and that mainstream oncology has been wrong about cancer for 100 years. Thomas Seyfried, PhD, is a professor of biology at Boston College and one of the world's leading researchers on the metabolic origins of cancer. He is author of the book 'Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management, and Prevention of Cancer' and co-developer of the Glucose Ketone Index (GKI) and the “press-pulse” therapeutic strategy. He explains: ◼ Why he believes cancer is a mitochondrial metabolic disease, not a genetic one ◼ Why cancer cells can't survive without two fuels and the strategy his team uses to starve tumors ◼ How a ketogenic diet lowers your GKI and makes chemo and immunotherapy work better ◼ The environmental drivers quietly damaging your mitochondria ◼ How his team is keeping glioblastoma patients alive for years, and why almost no patient is ever told this option exists The views expressed are those of the guest, and this conversation is intended for general informational purposes only. *Key Points to Remember After You Watch The Video. (Thank Me Later):* 1. Professor Thomas Seyfried believes cancer is not a genetic disease but a problem with how cells make energy, specifically related to damaged mitochondria (0:03:43). 2. Healthy cells use oxygen to make energy, but cancer cells rely on a prehistoric, inefficient method called fermentation to survive (0:08:12). 3. Cancer cells are greedy and require two main fuels to grow: glucose (sugar) and the amino acid glutamine (0:25:19). 4. Environmental factors like highly processed food, lack of exercise, and stress can chronically damage our mitochondria and increase cancer risk (0:01:05). 5. The Glucose Ketone Index (GKI) is a tool people can use to measure how well their mitochondria are functioning based on blood sugar and ketone levels (0:37:58). 6. Living in a "Red Zone" of high blood sugar and low ketones provides the perfect environment for cancer to thrive (0:53:01). 7. Seyfried argues that mainstream oncology focuses too much on genetics, while metabolic therapies can starve tumors by depriving them of their primary fuel sources (0:58:55). 8. A ketogenic diet helps lower blood sugar and raise ketones, potentially making treatments like chemotherapy work better (0:58:55). 9. Fasting and specific dietary protocols are used to push the body into a healthier state where cancer cells struggle to find enough energy to multiply (1:21:58). 10. Combining a ketogenic diet with hyperbaric oxygen therapy can create oxidative stress that selectively kills cancer cells (1:26:48). 11. Microplastics and "forever chemicals" are linked to cancer because they can damage the mitochondria's ability to produce energy efficiently (1:28:30). 12. Preventing cancer involves educating people on how to keep mitochondria healthy through better food, exercise, sleep, and managing stress (1:13:41). 13. Cancer metastasis, or the spread of the disease, is the primary reason why cancer becomes so difficult to treat (1:30:47). 14. The "press-pulse" strategy involves pressing down on tumor fuel sources like glucose and pulsing with treatments to target glutamine (1:32:58). 15. The speaker emphasizes that metabolic therapy is patient-driven and focuses on keeping the rest of the body healthy during treatment (1:26:48). 16. Despite resistance from the mainstream medical system, the professor remains dedicated to proving this metabolic theory to save more lives (1:44:12). I hope I can get 1,000 subscribers soon. 💪💪💪

I found Thomas Seyfried's work in 2016 when my Dad was diagnosed with melanoma in his lung. He was told he had less than 6 months to live. The tumour was pushing against his heart. We got Dad into therapeutic ketosis and watched as a 12cm tumour shrunk to the size of my thumbnail in less than a year! Thomas, I'm a HUGE fan of your work. Thank you.

My mother in law had stage 4 cancer of the blood. Chemo did not work. Radiation did not work. She cut out all sugar and all gluten. She then did stem cells. She just recently celebrated 2 years of being in remission.

I found Prof Thomas Seyfried at the same time I was diagnosed with an advanced metastasized stage of endometrial cancer. I maintained therapeutic ketosis in conjuction with chemotherapy. I fasted 3 days before and 2 days after 18 infusions. I RESOLVED all my tumors (I have photos and CT scans) and have been cancer-free 2.5 years so far. I did other things too. My oncologist was not supportive. I will throw some shekels into the research. 💰 😊👍

My husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma in April of 2014. We had also found out days before his diagnosis that we were going to have a daughter come August 2014. They told us he would be lucky to live 12 months. I was researching like crazy and had seen an article that cancer will starve without sugar. His Dr's acted like I was crazy for saying that. Gave him sugary snacks in the hospital, bombarded him with radiation and chemo pills that cost hundreds of dollars per pill. He was a zombie 2 months in, and dead Aug 31st 2014. He was just trying to stay alive to meet our daughter. Big pharma does not want to cure cancer or any other illness. They just want us to keep pushing drugs on us. They are teaching our Dr's to push drugs on us. If we get healthy, they cant make their billions! It's truly disgusting!
