Speaker Details Receiving Suspicious Copyright Demands After Hurricane Stream
Learn why legal documents demanding six-figure damages felt immediately suspicious and how viewing emergency footage for under two minutes escalated into a formal copyright confrontation involving two major content creators.
Short Summary
- Outcome: The speaker received high-stakes legal demands alleging copyright infringement from content creators Reed Timmer and Brad Arnold.
- Significance: The paperwork contained inconsistent claims—listing the same violation twice while implying widespread distribution—leading the speaker to suspect aggressive legal firm tactics.
- Orientation: This details the evidence: footage used only for situational awareness during Hurricane Milton, totaling less than two minutes across multiple clips. You will understand the specific claims filed and the speaker's defense against accusations of copying.

idk why i expected Taylor Swift to be suing Charlie
Just to be clear, I'm not involved in this at all. Nobody on my end filed anything. I’ve got no problem with creators like Charlie showing parts of our stream when big weather stuff’s happening. Some clips in our coverage come from individual chasers who manage their own rights, so that’s outside my control. Hopefully this all gets handled amicably and everyone can move on.
"I'm turning It back on"
Crazy that this happens right after he turns donations off.
Everyone’s wanted a slice of the Charlie pie, ever since he made it big in stardom with that huge, impactful and emotional role in the hunger games

Absolutely joke of a lawsuit. This will get thrown out by any competent judge.
Both Brad and Reed have tweeted that they aren't pursuing a lawsuit against Charlie. They both have a legal team that monitors for people stealing their content and Charlie's content was flagged in both. They aren't made aware of their legal team's actions. Which is a shame because if Charlie was included in this, probably many smaller streamers that can't defend themselves are as well...
