Prof. Karl Friston is the most cited neuroscientist in the world, renowned for pioneering the framework of active inference and for developing the influential Free Energy Principle (FEP). In this conversation with Hans Busstra, Friston touches on the metaphysics of his FEP, which surprisingly points to non-dualism instead of materialism, as widely assumed. According to Friston, space and time, the self, and even the FEP itself are mere stories, useful fictions with real explanatory power, which do not give us direct access to the noumenal reality. Listening to Karl Friston feels like a deep 'harmonic resonance.' For years, I’ve been exploring a framework I call the Moniverso, based on the idea of reality as a self-consistent informational flow. Seeing the Markov Blanket and the Free Energy Principle described not just as biology, but as the very way the 'Inside' and 'Outside' talk to each other, is a powerful confirmation. It's the scientific mirror to an ontological truth: we aren't observing the universe; we are the universe 'evidencing' itself through us. Knowledge isn't a collection of facts; it’s a relational resonance. Thank you for providing the 'vapor' (the abstract theory) to my 'ice' (the lived experience). It’s all the same water.

I have found a way to help people "pull back the Markov blanket" and experience an extraordinary connection .. absolutely LOVE the expressions on people's faces when it happens 🥰

Learned a Lot from this conversation. It is fun to enjoy the level of knowledge both of the speakers have. Loved it.
