RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2011) | FIRST TIME WATCHING | MOVIE REACTION

I still remember Carly saying she was thankful that X-Men won the poll over Planet of the Apes on the X-Men (2000) reaction uploaded 11 months ago, because the idea of apes riding horses turned her off the film. But now, 11 months later, here we are and Carly is loving it! I'm excited for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) it's one of my personal favorite films of all time.

You ladies missed an Easter egg in the beginning. Caesar's mother...the ape that went crazy...was named Bright Eyes. That was the nickname Zira gave Taylor in the original Planet of the Apes!

Please continue this franchise w/Carly! One of the best trilogys of that decade!!

To this day I’ve never been in a packed movie theater that went from laughing (from the nod to the OG movie) to absolute, deafening silence. Like the air was sucked out of the entire auditorium.

Did she say that the chimps are the peaceful ones? Boy is she in for a rude awakening lol

There is a scene in this film where the TV in the background is showing astronauts going on a space flight. It is the crew from the first film!

Still get chills when Caesar says NO!

Now that you've seen the first one, PLEASE go watch some behind the scenes footage of how they did this. Andy Serkis is not just doing a voice here. He is fully acting Caesar out, in a mocap suit and then they just digitally layer on the apeness. What you're seeing is fully Andy. That's what's remarkable about these films. The ape casts are all creating real characters with their full tool kit. I just want you to fully appreciate what you're seeing. I love these movies. BTW, the "Oh noooo..." comes from the 3rd one in the series.

As cute as chimps are, I wouldn’t let one anywhere near my children. His neighbour is 100% correct about being nervous about Caesar. Chimps are unbelievably aggressive, bordering on insane.
