Gotta say rslash is way off about the fourth story, it's not about the kids it's about the danger his partner would be in if people knew they were trans.

Most people wouldn't care about whether or not the kids are adopted, but some people REALLY care if a person is trans. It could get the husband killed if the wrong person found out.

12:40 As a trans man, honestly? What I'd go with is "yeah adopted is easier to say than surrogacy, we both wanted biological kids". While people generally don't care, if there's a risk that it could out OPs husband there's a real risk of a violent negative reaction- either directly to op's husband, or false reports to CPS just because he's transgender. I've seen it happen to a few people. It's why I dont tell people at my work anything about me- while MOST people don't care or notice things like that, the ones that DO tend to be... A lot.
