Eat MORE Fatty Meat, Not Less | Dr. Ken Berry
Overcoming Fat Fear: Optimal Ratios for Healthy Carnivore Diets
Stop fearing animal fats and discover the optimal fat-to-protein ratios your body needs, leveraging ancient human biology for sustained energy.
Short Summary
- Successfully transition to meat-heavy diets by consuming significantly more fat than you currently suspect is necessary.
- Rely on your body's inherent satiety hormones to regulate intake, bypassing complicated, profit-driven nutritional tracking.
- The primary cause of failure on ketogenic or carnivore diets is inadvertently undereating fat, leading to energy loss.
This discussion emphasizes that humans are designed to crave and utilize animal fats, warning that modern dietary fear prevents people from reaching necessary energy levels on low-carb, animal-based diets.

This way of eating put my 18 year's of Ulcerative colitis into remission for over 4 years and I'm off all medications.
All my life I was taught that animal fat is bad and I am 63. But now thanks to this Doc and a few others I now understand the proper human diet
We love you Ken Berry! The Steak and eggs never get old.
He’s right, real meat with natural fat in moderation can be healthy. The real danger isn’t steak, it’s the processed GMO meat in fast food that the system forces as “culture.” Burgers, nuggets, fake fillers , that’s what destroys people. And look around… America turned into a nation of obesity not by accident, but by design. I didn’t see it until I started questioning what was on my plate every day. Youth Protocol by Dr Tessa Voss helped me connect the dots.
Dr berry makes so much sense.
I started carnivore diet 11 days ago lost four pounds and my knees feel great and my ankles are not swelling . I'm thrilled❤
When I went keto over 5 years ago, I remember that eating fat seemed so wrong because of what we were told all our life. It was the most difficult part of the change for my brain to comprehend. I never eat low fat anymore, rarely eat chicken, opt for ribeye over fillet. Now I eat mostly meat and feel better than probably 30 or more years ago and I’m 64 now.

My father used to tell me a true story from his childhood. As a boy in Yorkshire he would visit the village blacksmith to watch him work in his forge. The blacksmith, a large and powerful man, would ask his butcher to cut him a steak-sized slab of fat (no lean) from the sirloin. He would then take that fat to his forge and cook it over the fire before eating it. He maintained it was not only delicious but nutritious as well. It took me years before I too realised that fat is not only sensationally tasty, it is full of excellent nutrients too. The fat on my steak is the best bit.
I think about all of the people who didn't have this info for the last 75 years. How unfortunate. My dad after his heart attack, got diabetes. He followed all of the Dr recomends. he lived another 30 years, but frailly. He could have had a much better life.
