The one thing I don't understand is why people keep on associating forgiveness with forgetting. Just because you forgive somebody, it doesn't mean you'll ever trust them again. Those are two separate things you can forgive somebody and never ever trust them again. You can forgive somebody and throw them out of your life because of what they did has nothing to do with the forgiveness
